What a great way to end a terrific Volleyball season! The Knights (30-4) lost to the only team that beat them in regular season, Trinity, with whom they split six matches. Trinity swept the final however 25-23, 25-17, 25-17.
Calvary swept Harvester in the semis 25-19, 25-14, 25-12.
McKenzie Bragg led the way Saturday for the Knights compiling 24 kills and 29 digs.

Calvary Christian School won the Augusta Prep Invitational Tournament for the 2nd year in a row.
The Knights beat Trinity Christian (25-23, 25-27, 15-13), Ward Law (19-25, 25-12, 15-9), South Aiken (25-19, 25-19) and Trinity again for the title (99-25, 25-19, 15-10).

Varsity Girls
WIN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!
The CCS varsity girls volleyball team won the GISA Volleyball State Championship on Saturday with four-game victories over Augusta Prep and Lagrange Academy.
The Lady Knights beat August Prep 17-25, 25-13, 25-15, 25-13 in the semifinals, and then defeated Lagrange Academy 25-23, 25-23, 21-25, 25-21 in the final for their second state title in three years. They were runners up last season.
McKenzie Bragg led the way with a total of 35 kills in Saturday's two matches.

CCS won the five-team Lee-Scott Invitational in Auburn, Alabama, by sweeping its four matches on Saturday.

Clark Prep 25-11, 25-14.

Calvary Christian went 3-0 on the opening day of the 12-team Augusta Prep Fall Classic on Friday, September 10, advancing to the gold bracket comprising the top four teams for Saturday's final round. McKenzie Bragg's 35 kills and Leslie Dupree's 51 assists let Calvary in the three matches:

The CCS team suffered its first loss of the season against South Aikin (S.C.) in Saturday's tournament play, but then rebounded to defeat the same team in the final match to win the tournament.
Calvary defeated Augusta Prep 25-15 and 25-19 and Lagrange Academy 25-18 and 25-12; lost to South Aiken 18-25, 24-26; defeated South Aikin 25-15, 25-19.

Calvary Christian continued its march toward a second straight
state volleyball title with first- and second-round wins Friday in the Georgia Independent School Association tournament at George Walton Academy.
The Lady Knights swept Mount Vernon Presbyterian 25-10, 25-9, 25-7, then prevailed over Westminster Christian 25-23, 29-31, 25-8, 25-17.
On Saturday the Lady Knights beat Young American Christian academy in the semi finals advancing to the finals. The Lady Knights fell short of their 2nd state Championship title with a loss to Pinecrest Academy in the finals.
They won their semifinal against Young American Christian 25-21, 23-25, 25-10, 25-9. The Lady Knights lost 20-25, 25-18, 28-26, 25-22 to Pinecrest Academy in the Georgia Independent School Association championship match.

Coach Chris Akers said he is proud of his players’ effort, especially because Pinecrest had swept two matches from them during the regular season when one of their outside hitters was sidelined. “They played with reckless abandon, gave everything they had,” he said. “We had every chance to win that match, but we just didn’t get the breaks we needed.”

The CCS varsity girls volleyball team won the Lady Eagle Volleyball Tournament at Sherwood Academy on October 10,
with a 4-0 record. The Lady Knights beat Ridgecrest 25-5, 25-11, Sherwood 25-7, 25-12 and George Walton 25-7, 25-15, in the
title match.

McKenzie Bragg was the tournament MVP. She joined Ivy Roper and Mary McCarty on the all-tourney team.

CCS clinched its third straight Region 3 crown with a sweep of Harvester Christian on Thursday to qualify for the GISA state tournament.
Calvary Christian finished second in the Augusta Prep invitational tournament, falling to Pinecrest 25-18, 25-21 in the championship match.
Calvary went 4-3 in the tournament, beating Frederica Academy 25-9, 25-11, Harvester Christian 25-20, 25-14, Augusta Prep 27-25, 25-20 and Pinewood 28-27, 20-25, 15-6. The other two losses were to Augusta Prep 25-18, 25-16 and Pinecrest 25-19, 25-20.
