We are not currently charging a late fee for overdue books. Overdue notices are sent out monthly. However, once a book is 60 days overdue, we consider it lost and will send a notice to parents for payment. The fee for a hardback book is $9 and a paperback book is $5. Students will not be allowed to check out another library book until the book is returned or payment received.
The CCS Library has a new circulation/catalog web-hosted software program that enables students and parents to search our library collection from school and home computers. We are very pleased to be able to offer this service to our CCS families!
An email has been sent to parents about the program and how to access it. Copy of letter to parents with more info >>
The search feature web address is: http://184.106.115.192/4dcgi/gen_2002/Lang=Def
OR simply click HERE to access the catalog.
Students can search our collection by keyword, subject, title, author, series or editor/illustrator. They may also do a broader topic search. Students in 3rd - 5th grades have been trained in how to use the search features. It's very user-friendly. Older students and parents should find it an easy and convenient way to locate materials in our library.
If you have quesions or problems, please call or email Media Specialist Christine Brooks, ext. 211.

Calvary is continuing this year with Accelerated Reader (AR), the acclaimed reading and testing program adopted by schools nationwide over the past several years. Students have access to over 100,000 quizzes for easy, juvenile and upper-level fiction and nonfiction books. Because AR is web-based, we always have the most up-to-date quizzes available, plus all the quizzes that the vast AR program already offers to schools.
We also have the STAR program, a reading assessment program which enables teachers to better determine individualized reading levels and goals for our students. Parents may access AR Book Finder to find out whether a book has an AR quiz and its reading level. Our school library and the local public libraries have most of the AR books.
Simply follow the directions on the website.
The website is www.arbookfind.com.
