Preparing
students for college is an essential part of the mission
of Calvary Christian School. We seriously consider the
need for God’s wisdom in working with students as they
plan for the future. Our school works individually with each
student and their family to help them understand the realities
of college admission, develop a list of appropriate options,
and work through the admissions process.
CCS
helps students to prepare for college by offering PSAT testing
to all 10th and 11th graders. In addition, PLAN testing is
offered to all 10th graders. The guidance office dispenses
college financial aid information, provides contact with
college representatives, gives information on various programs
of interest, and helps guide students toward a successful college
acceptance. Students can obtain assistance with their high
school resumes, college and scholarship applications, recommendations,
and more.

Each year all seniors at Calvary Christian School have the opportunity to receive a $2,000 scholarship by applying for the Travis Smith Memorial Scholarship.
The 2006-07 recipient of this scholarship is Ali Rieger.
The scholarship is named in memory of Travis Smith who was a student at CCS for four years and would have been a member of the graduating class of 2000, the year this scholarship program began. The Travis Smith Memorial Scholarship is designed to reward the well-rounded individual who strives for academic achievement, participates in extra-curricular activities, and is involved in community service work.
Those who knew Travis understand how appropriate this scholarship is for Travis loved his friends, classmates, and this school. He would have liked nothing more than to help someone achieve his or her goals.
