You may view and/or print a copy of the "diploma checklist" here:

Students need to bring their signed checklist with them on
May 15, to register. For more information, call or email our Guidance Counselor, Alicia Rieger, ext 208.

Notice 2 Recent Updates:

CREDIT REQUIREMENTS FOR CLASS OF 2011

In compliance with the state of Georgia’s graduation requirements, Calvary graduates will be required to have four (4) credits of science for a college preparatory diploma. Therefore, the total credits required for graduation increases from 25 to 26. In addition, geography (a semester class) is a requirement and will count as an academic elective (.5) credit. This policy is effective with the Class of 2011.

CREDIT REQUIREMENTS FOR SENIORS
(Effective 2008-2009)

All seniors must register for six (6) courses including a minimum of four (4) core courses. Other courses may include electives such as art, choir, weight training, yearbook, teacher/office assistant, and/or study hall (no credit). Seniors who hold a job and work after school may register for five (5) courses instead of six (6) as long as their graduation requirements are met and the school has a work permit on file. Also, students enrolled in dual credit courses may, also, be considered as an exception and allowed to register for only five (5) courses if they need to leave school early to attend classes.

"Expelled" Ticket Stub Fundraiser

The sophomore class is collecting ticket stubs from recently released motion picture "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" as
a fundraiser to raise funds for next year's Junior/Senior.

The movie, hosted by Ben Stein, and is an expose of the prevailing mentality in the world of science and education that shuts out knowledge, research and personnel who point to the Intelligent Design evidence for creation. The film reveals current research that provides strong evidence that Someone who has planned events and structures in our planet that could not have randomly come into existence.

"I have seen the movie and it is a very thought-provoking work on a subject about which we definitely need to be informed," says CCS Headmaster Len McWilliams. "It is not entertainment, but it is powerful in its implications. I would encourage all parents and midddle school through high school students to view it."

Each ticket stub is worth cash to the sophomore class. If you see the movie, please save your ticket stubs and donate them to the sophomore class. In order for the class to receive credit, you must see the film within two weeks of its release.

Middle School Homecoming 2008 Highlights

Lunch Menu

Reminder About Lunch Money
Attention Middle School Parents!

If your middle school student wants to a school lunch, he or she MUST bring the order form and money to their homeroom teacher in advance on the first day of that week. Usually, that is Monday, unless we school is not in session that day, then it is due the first day we have school that week. i.e. if your student is only eating the school lunch on Thursday, he or she must place their order on Monday of that week. Without this advance notice, it is very difficult for Mrs. Whaley to have the right amount of food prepared for lunch.

The lunch order form is on the printable lunch menu that is located at the bottom of the lunch menu page of the website. The lunch menu includes a 2-week menu. For your convenience and ours, we ask that you make reservations and pay for 2 weeks at a time if possible.

Click here to view Lunch Menu.
