Drama Team wins 2nd Place in Regional One Act Play Competition!!!

2nd Place Regional

Congratulations to our Literary Arts group led by Janet Dawson. They placed 2nd in the Regional One Act Play Competition October 27th in Americus. The group will compete in the State Competition in Albany on November 9th. Also, Jonathan Phelps won the award for best actor for his performance in the play. Kudos to all the members for a great job!


US Military Academy Day

The United States Military Academies will be hosting Academy Day on Saturday, September 10, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center, 1775 Legacy Way, Columbus, GA. Representatives from all 5 academies as well as cadets and midshipmen will be in attendance and will be available to answer the questions of parents and students.

All persons interested in attending must registerby 5:00 p.m. September 2, 2011. Register online by emailing Dana.Gantt@mail.house.gov.or by calling Dana Gantt at 770-683-2033. Seating is limited to 300 guests.

Did you know CCS offers private voice, piano and guitar lessons on campus as part of our enrichment programs? Applications are being accepted and classes are being scheduled now for this school year.  If you have not already registered your child(ren) for any of these music lessons and would like to, please contact the following music teachers.

All high school students are required to give community service hours each semester. The requirements are as listed:

9th grade - 5 hours per semester
10th grade - 8 hours per semester
11th grade - 10 hours per semester
12th grade - 10 hours per semester
