CCS Pep Squad

The CCS Pep Squad is an after-school club for kindergarten and elementary students formed last year with the purpose of helping to promote school spirit in the earlier grades. The pep squads cheer at middle school home games.

CCS First Grader Inducted Into "10,000 Club"

Usually first graders are required to write to 1,000, but CCS first grader Jeremy Lewis went overboard and wrote to 10,000. Elementary Principal Steve Pate was so impressed the he created a "10,000 Club" of which Jeremy is the first "member." Congrats Jeremy!

2009 Safety Belt Poster/Essay Contest

Congratulations to the following CCS elementary students for their participation in the University of Georgia Traffic Injury Prevention Institutes's 2009 Safety Belt Poster/Essay Contest. The judging took place on March 19, at the Institute's Training Center in Conyers, Georgia. The county-level winners for Muscogee County in the poster contest were: 2nd & 3rd Grades
1st Place - G. Jones
2nd Place - M. Pound
3rd Place - B. Chandler4th & 5th Grades
1st Place - E. Ballesteros
2nd Place - M. McMurry
3rd Place - H. Pafford

Each county winner was given a ribbon and certificate. The state winners will be announced at a later date.
