Concession Stand Volunteer Schedule

Click Here to see the revised schedule for coverage of the Gate/Concession Stand during the remainder of our Basketball season. The Athletic Booster Club relies heavily on all of the Fall/Winter athlete parents to help in this area so that a few are not asked to do much. We greatly appreciate your help in this area of service.

If you are unable to volunteer on the date you are scheduled, please find another parent to switch with. This keeps the booster club from being the 'middle man' when trying to rearrange dates of coverage.

Varsity Girls Kick Off Season with Tri-Match

The varsity girls' volleyball team will kick off their season this Saturday, August 13, in a tri-match at Calvary Christian School. CCS will be playing at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, and will be striving for their 3rd state championship in four years.

Middle School Soccer Tryouts

Middle school soccer tryouts for boys and girls are Thursday and Friday, August 18 - 19, at the CCS baseball field. Tryouts will be 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm both days. Both middle school teams will be playing in the Muscogee County Middle School Soccer League, so all games will be in Columbus.

CCS Announces New Football Program
News from Brian Osborne, CCS Athletics Director

Calvary Christian School would like to officially announce the creation of the High School Football Program.

The Knights will have their inaugural season this upcoming
Fall 2011. The CCS football program will be playing in the
ICSGA (Independent Christian Schools of Georgia and Alabama). Calvary will be playing in the 11-man football division which consists of 9 other Christian schools mostly residing in the Atlanta area.

The Knights will open their inaugural season on August 26,
in Loganville, Georgia, against Loganville Christian Academy
at 7:30 pm.

Since Calvary Christian School does not have a football field on their campus, the football team will be playing their home games at Britt David Park in Columbus.

A scrimmage game has been scheduled for August 19, against Evangel Christian at Britt David Park in Columbus, 7:30 pm

The CCS football team currently consists of 32 players (11 seniors, 5 juniors, 11 sophomores, and 5 freshmen). Most of these players have been going through spring practice over the past few weeks. The players have been working hard and the enthusiasm has been high as these players have put on football equipment for the first time ever at Calvary. With a coaching staff of 8, the players have been getting a lot of individual work learning the fundamentals of football.

Come and support your Knights as they have their inaugural season playing football under the lights on Friday nights!
