About Intramural Sports

The goal of the "Calvary Intramural Academy" (intramural sports) at Calvary Christian School is to introduce children to athletics and offer a Christian environment with a high level of competition. This fulfills a part of the CCS  motto, “...teaching the whole child the whole truth.”  We strive to do this by showing students how discipline and hard work can be applied to every aspect of their lives.

Intramural sports opportunities are offered to CCS students who are in grades 1-6 with soccer and basketball being open to K-5 students as well. The following sports are offered during the
2008-2009 school year:

• Intramural Basketball - 2009
  Boys and Girls - Grades K5 - 6th Grade
  Registration Fee: $25 (includes t-shirt)
  Registration Dates - August 17 - 27
  Deadline for Registrations is August 27
  Evaluations are Friday, August 28
  Practice Dates – Sept. 1, 3, 11, 15, 22, Oct. 16
  Game Dates – Sept. 12, 18, 19, 29, Oct. 8, 10, 17, 24

• Intramural Soccer - 2009
  For all Boys and Girls - Grades K-5 - 6th grade
  Registration Fee:
  $20 per player (have purchased a CIS reversible jersey)
  $25 per player (have not purchased a CIS revisable jersey)
  Registration Dates - November 2 –13
  Deadline for Registrations - November 13
  Evaluations are November 14:
     K5 - 2nd, 10:00 am - 11:00 am
     3rd - 6th, 11:00 am - 12:00 noon
  Practice Dates – Nov. 19, Dec. 3, 10, 17, Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28
  Game Dates – Dec. 5, 12, 19, Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30, Feb. 6

Would you like to Volunteer?

We need volunteer parents to coach the teams and for other intramural sports responsibilities.  If you would like to volunteer, please print and complete an Intramurals Volunteer Application and return it to the CCS Athletics Department, Attention: Ricky Lewis. Someone from the Athletics Department will then contact you.

Registration Procedure

Print and complete the appropriate Intramurals Registration Form (above) for your child and return it to the CCS Elementary School Office, Attention: Ricky Lewis , along with your registration fee by the appropriate registration deadline listed above.
