The students also collected items and prepared care packages for families at the local Ronald McDonald Houses. They also enjoyed vocal workshops with the a cappella group, Toxic Audio, on two occasions.

"We are very proud of Latrevo and the wonderful job they did. They represented Calvary Christian School well," said Angie Bacon.

Choirs Receive Superior Ratings from GMEA

Congratulations to the high school and middle school choirs who recently participated in the GMEA Music Festival held at First Baptist Church in Columbus. Directed by Choral Director Chris Waterstraat, both groups scored "superior" ratings from the judges for both performance and sight-reading. This is the highest score possible.

"This is really a wonderful accomplishment for them, considering the difficulties they have had this year," said
former CCS Choral Director Judy Meek's who is now in Arkansas. "Chris Waterstraat did an excellent job as their director, especially since it was his first time to take any groups to an evaluation."

"We are very proud of the students and appreciate Mr. Waterstraat's hard work," commented Angie Bacon of the elementary music department.
